I purchased two of these dog chaser units to help protect my family from three nasty dogs nearby. When I tested this on four different dogs, and two cats, NONE of the six animals made any reactions to the device in any way, even when within 6 inches of the animal. I tried both devices, both with fresh batteries. I even took one apart and adjusted the frequency using the variable resistor - no effect under any circumstance. However my children all complained about the device. Would recommend...
