Released in 2003, BloodRayne followed the antics of an ambiguous anti-hero, Agent BloodRayne. Certainly at least partially human, she was endowed with various bloodthirsty vampire-like attributes, and her status as human-hungry undead freak didn’t mean she was a worse person than the Nazi baddies she was up against. Between you and us, she owed more than a little to the also red-haired, violent and vampire-heritaged Durham Red, a character from the British comic 2000AD’s famed Strontium Dogs strip...

Bloodrayne 2 - Deliverance
Uwe Boll helms this follow-up to his own action-packed first film from 2006. The movie takes place 100 years after the first BLOODRAYNE ended, and finds Rayne in a whole lot of trouble with some vampire cowboys. The cowboys are led by Billy the Kid, so Rayne teams up with none other than Pat Garret in an attempt to stop Billy's bloody reign of terror.

Viewed in the third-person, à la Tomb Raider, the PC version looks great. The minimum requirements state at least a 64MB graphics card, though. Animation is smooth, location textures are nicely detailed and reflections and lighting are used to good effect. Add buckets of blood, bouncing breasts and flying limbs and it's easy to see why this one comes with a '15' certificate. The camera can sometimes drop behind objects obscuring the view but as part of the overall package it's easy to overlook. The...

Awful. The only word to describe this movie. It is surely a waste of time. You may as well watch something half notch better like skin-walkers or bloodrayne - i itself. This is a fantasy movie for crying out loud. Uwe boll mixes it with western. That is a creative spin. But guess what, it is like an amateur trying to make a cocktail. A cocktail with a combo of scotch and frozen yogurt. Yeah, that is exactly how you are going to feel watching this movie. Plot is weak, so is the concept.
