I Loved this Season! It was by far one of the best seasons of charmed there has been yet. I loved centennial charmed it was a brilliant episode although i was sad to see Cole leave. Witches in tights and a witches tail are must see episodes for entertainment value alone and i also like the episode sense and sense ability which really highlighted the sisters' bond. It was great to see barbas back in sympathy for the demon and melinda clarke is awesome as the siren in siren song. Other great episode...

A superb season - in fact, this is the highest rated and most acclaimed season in the show's 12 year run. As for the DVDs themselves, innocuous edits won't deter the majority of viewers and the remastering, in the main, is of a very high standard. Its been around 15 years since this was aired on terrestrial tv and 6 years since satellite television afforded it a decent run. Season 5 starts with clark drawing closer and closer to his ultimate destiny. The mystery of his purpose and intentions of other becomes a little clearer, but hey it is Smallville; nothings black and white. Some really great episodes; but some really sad. Jonathan Kent was an amazing character and its was extremely sad to see him die. The episode is filmed perfectly and gives a feeling that reaches far beyond that of the TV.

Protecting the innocent, vanquishing evil and evil doers, and generally righting wrongs are not exactly on the agenda of every twenty-something on the fast track to discovering what life's all about. This season is a slight improvement on Season 4 but it still has it's problem episodes; Miracle Man, Cell within and Leap of faith. However, there are some fantastic episodes like the 2 part season premier and finales. The music is darker but certainly fits the mood of the episodes very well. I do love this season sometimes but I can't just ignore that it also contains some of the worst episodes of Miami Vice ever.

This show is fantastic. The witty dialogue keeps you tuned in, and you get to know all the minor characters really well. Stars Hollow's eccentric characters just make it one great package. The scenes are longer than what you'd usually expect in programmes, which is good. It isn't dumbed down for the MTV generation. It's beautiful, moral and I'd recommend it to people who want to watch something a little different. Lorelai and Rory's relationship is enviable - get watching!
