In 1994, writer-director Kevin Smith scored a surprise indie hit with the low-budget, black-and-white CLERKS, which won awards at the Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals and has attracted a growing cult audience over the years. Following such movies as MALLRATS, CHASING AMY, and DOGMA, Smith returns to his roots for CLERKS II, a very funny, very raunchy sequel. It's been more than 10 years, but Dante Hicks (Brian O'Halloran) and Randal Graves (Jeff Anderson) are still working at the same Quick Stop...

If you are in the market for what The Detroit News called "a lively comic adventure", 'Clerks' delivers with wholesale hilarity! It's one wild day in the life of a pair of overworked counter jockeys whose razor-sharp wit and on-the-job antics give a whole new meaning to customer service! Even while braving a nonstop parade of unpredictable shoppers, the clerks manage to play hockey on the roof, visit a funeral home, and straighten out their offbeat love lives. The boss is nowhere in sight, so you...

Ten years ago best friends Dante Hicks (Brian O'Halloran) and Randal Graves (Jeff Anderson) were New Jersey mini-mall clerks still slacking off together in their early 20s. A decade on a calamity at Dante and Randall's shops sends them looking for new horizons - but they ultimately settle at Mooby's, a Disney-McDonald's-style fast-food empire... While Dante prepares to move to Florida and marry Emma (Smith's real-life wife, Jennifer Schwalbach), Randal harasses geeky "Funployee of the Month" Elias...

At the age of 33, New Jersey mini-mart clerks and best friends Dante Hicks (Brian O'Halleron) and Randal Graves (Jeff Anderson) have it made. They work with each other, slack off all day, and get paid for it. But when the local Quick Stop that has been their entire life and livelihood suffers a cataclysm, Dante and Randal have to do the unthinkable: find new minimum-wage jobs. Now, they're bringing their rapid-fire one-liners, bad attitudes and unbridled love of fun at the customer's expense to Mooby...

This is a day Dante will never forget. His day rudely begins at 6am, when he discovers that he has to work on his day off: a hilarious day in which he has to survive his girlfriend's graphic sexual confessions, a mad hockey team and a contant stream of offensive customers. The director Kevin Smith , an ex-employee of the Quick Stop convenience store, firmed 'Clerks' in the store after hours. A purveyor of now classic razor sharp dialogue, Smith was recently given the Independent Spirit Award at the...

If you have a love of Kevin Smith films and if your love puts Clerks and Clerks 2 up there at the top of the list then you'll love this. It is really funny and features Dante, Randall, Jay and Silent Bob getting into all sorts of crazy scrapes. Plus, being animation they can afford to let the plots do things they wouldn't be able to afford on the films. Some decent extras (Smith always gives good commentary).

dvd: Clerks 2: 2dvd: Hmv Exclusive (2007)
After accidentally burning down their beloved/hated Quick Stop, Dante and Randal have slipped even lower down the public service ladder to work at fast food joint Mooby's. But as they reach their mid-thirties, they have to face the fact that maybe they should have done a bit more with their lives. Outside the place, newly clean (but still dealing) druggies Jay and Silent Bob are coming to similar conclusions.

Dante ( Brian O'Halloran ) and his obnoxious friend Randal ( Jeff Anderson ) are back in full swing with the same argumentative style as before. The first great thing about this film is that you don’t really need to have seen the first installment; this is a film of its own. Since we last caught up with our characters; Dante is certain that he has found the love of his life in his new girlfriend and is about to leave his old life in New Jersey; leaving Randal behind for good. In the eleventh hour...
