Flawed design means that these snapped after about 2 weeks of use, and I've not even reached Expert difficulty yet. The sudden change in stick thickness at the screw seems to be the cause of the snap.

The electronic sticks don't have the weight distribution, "bounce" and feel of real drumsticks. These are only good for bashing on stuff, not for practicing and applying the form, rudiments and finesse that in part comprise a real drummer's complex musical craft. To achieve this latter aim, one must have both drumsticks AND an oscillating tympanic membrane ("skins") to bounce them against. Drummers are "dummies" who "bash things with sticks"!? And Billie Holiday - I suppose she just went onstage...

Having read reviews about the toughness of this drumstick I bought one for my beagle who has a very strong bite. He managed to eat the thin bit of the leg within half an hour but the thigh has lasted as he can't get his jaw around it. While it has not been indestructable, it has become a favorite chew toy and I would recommend it. It is heavy in weight and has an unpredictable movement when rolled and so has kept Humphrey interested.
