Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii)
Samus will employ well-known power-ups like the Grapple Beam and Morph Ball, as well as a bunch of new surprises, to help her survive her coming trials. The game also incorporates a new system involving Phazon. If you fill Samus' Phazon supply to a certain level, Samus will temporarily go into hyper mode, a state in which she can pull off incredible feats. On the flip side, if she exceeds the maximum Phazon level, she'll perish. Also, for the first time in the Metroid series, Samus' ship will be...

A very good game. The Wii is lacking in FPS games and Metroid Prime 3 does alot to fill that void, but does fall short. The gameplay is very natural for a FPS and playing on the Wii is unlike any other FPS you've played. Nintendo have done well graphically on Metroid Prime 3. It shows that the Wii is capable of more than the mediocre visuals usually seen on the console and that these lackluster visuals are the fault of the developer. Metroid prime 3 is only single player though and lacks any multiplayer...

Besides using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers to pull off amazing feats like aiming and blasting in midair or at a full run, players also will have an array of different weapons at their disposal. In true Metroid fashion, these will become powered up as the game progresses. Not only that, but the controller will be used for a number of other game elements beyond the traditional firstperson shooter standards.

That's because the game hits paydirt with the boss battles. Don't get us wrong: the levels themselves are interesting and challenging, and will test your wits and your reactions, but there's so much imagination and tactical thought employed with the bosses that you simply have to sit back and admire them (though not for long, obviously). It's the range that really scores: you need to work at a strategy to take down a boss and continually vary your approach, and while they're not rock solid for the...
