Enid Blyton's Nature Lover's Book
I was bought this book at the age of 8 years, & I still have it today, aged 69. I found it a most interesting and informative book, without it being stuffy & boring like so many nature books that turn children off. It gave me an interest in nature that I still have today, the book is somewhat tattered now but I shall never part with it, it is the only book I kept from my childhood, I could not give it higher praise, a must for any child who shows any interest in any aspect of nature.

Periods of great conflict have peppered the human experience for as long as we have existed, but the motivation for warfare, the identity of the combatants and their chosen equipment and methods have changed drastically over time. He went on to develop the first machine gun. Hitler created the autobahn in order to radically improve the German infrastructure, and therefore ready his people for war.
