This NFS is easily better than NFS Carbon. The police chases can get INTENSE. Invest in a meaty machine to run it so you can really feel the rush - the speed feels FAST. The modding sadly is nowhere near as comprehensive as the 2 NFS Underground titles, and the damage..well, how could you honestly call it "damage" when your car continues to handle exactly the same way after you ram it into a solid wall at over 100mph. But the ever so slight lack of realism really doesn't bother me, I'm loving this...

The fed is played by Maggie Q, whose work, I must admit, has passed me by until this point, but who has the kind of sprightly, enigmatic name that means most people probably fancy her before they've even laid eyes on her - I certainly did. The cut-scenes are the work of nameless "Hollywood talent", and at least look fairly brooding and cinematic - lots of mood lighting and shadows. Me and my mate used to play this all the time on PS2 and were addicted. Playing multiplayer is truly exciting, though the game is designed to make it easier for the person behind to catch up it makes it a lot of fun. Racing the people on the blacklist and unlocking the superb cars is so much fun. Designing your car with body kits, carbon fibre, vinyls and custom paint is truly fascinating even when you're ruining a silver Aston Martin.
