The grapes used for this wine come from the north west of the Casablanca region, where the cool sea breezes provide perfect growing conditions for Pinot Noir. Highly aromatic yet very subtle in style the fruit aromas show violets and spice which are backed up on the palate by great concentration and soft ripe tannins. This will drink beautifully with lamb.

New Zealand is gearing up to take the world by storm with Pinot Noir - just as it did with Sauvignon. With a medium weight body and gentle earthiness to go with curranty red fruit flavours, this style is a great fusion food partner, and an antidote to hefty New World blockbusters. Tasting Notes : This bright garnet wine shows lifted cherry fruit on the nose. The medium-bodied palate exhibits flavours of ripe plum and cranberry with gentle hints of oak spice. A silky finish is long and dry. Producer...

"An elegant and youthful nose of sweet cherries, raspberries, licorice, marzipan and with a wonderful medicinal quality. There is obvious sweetness and youthfulness in the mouth, with cherries, raspberries and bitter cocoa dominating the otherwise very traditional gamey and earthy palate. The tannins are firm and tight and provide wonderful structure to an otherwise young but stunning wine. It definitely needs time and will benefit from another 4 - 5 years in the cellar."
