Veritas Low Angle Block Plane
The 1/8" thick by 1-5/8" wide blade is made from A2 tool steel; the thickness of the blade reduces chatter and performs exceptionally well on end grain. The combined feed screw and lateral adjust (Norris 'style'). It is both more sensitive and more accurate than any other adjustment mechanism. It overcomes one of the drawbacks of other block planes in having higher side wings (ideal for shooting) with multiple finger grips in each side.
