Review : I bought this for a friend who is a hardened Bacardi drinker, I am now in hiding as she keeps pestering me to get her another bottle or 3 or as many as I can!!!! No seriously she says it is far by the best she has ever tasted you could drink it neat on the rocks as it has a lovely soft flow that doesn't get the back of your throat with an aftermath of a toffee hint. I must admit I am a gin drinker but having tasted this I would definitely be swayed first class A1.

Angostura 3 year old White Rum
Angostura 3 year old white rum is supple and luxurious. It benefits from having been aged in charred American oak bourbon barrels for a minimum of three years. It is then filtered twice which provides it with pristine clarity and a light, satiny, textured body. It has impressively aromatic tones and is loaded with fresh herbal and floral notes. It is exceptionally dry and warming on the palate.

This rum is made from fermented molasses put through a column still and left un-aged. This is a simple, uncomplicated rum suitable for house pouring. L'Amitie has a very clean approach on the nose which follows through onto the palate. It tastes very smooth and does not have any chemical notes often found in other white rums of the same price point. The palate offers fresh, creamy notes with hints of sugar and caramel and surprisingly good length for 37.5% abv....
