This is a lovely antique, Japanese doll, her face is particularly fine, glass eyes, slightly open mouth and even tiny teeth. She is dancing the wisteria dance and her costume reflects this, dark purple kimono, in chirimen silk, has a lovely wisteria pattern, her juban has handpainted wisteria in gold and silver, her hat again has handpainted wisteria design. There is lots of detail, the hem is heavily padded and she clutches the edge of her juban. Wonderful collectors item!
