Packer was Secretary of Leicestershire County Cricket Club between 1910 and 1932. The scrapbook contains a three page signed autograph letter, dated 31st January 1933, from G.H. Muir, Secretary of Hampshire County Cricket Club, to Packer. Also inserted is an extraordinary signed autograph letter dated 1923 from a Walter Ashe of Belfast addressed to Mr Packer, Secretary of Leicestershire County Cricket Club, together with the original envelope, asking Packer for work: I have always thouth [sic]...

An account of the 1932 Australian cricket tour of North America, compiled with the assistance of the scrapbooks kept by Sir Donald Bradman during the tour. The Australian team included V.Y. Richardson, D.G. Bradman, A.A. Mailey, S.J. McCabe, A. Kippax and H. Carter. One of the social highlights of the tour was being entertained by the legendary Babe Ruth, and later playing at Hollywood, where their opponents included C. Aubrey Smith, Boris Karloff and Snowy Baker.
