You can get a sound simply by rubbing their edges together in a sort of flat sliding movement called a 'sizzle'. You can strike them against each other too and this is called a 'crash'. Also, you can make a 'tap-clash' simply by tapping the edge of one of the crash cymbals on the other. You can also try scraping the edges together which is officially caled a 'scrape' .
