I have had my dvd recorder now for a few years i dont use it as much as when i first got it because i have sky+ so i dont really need to record on it now, but i do agree with the sound it takes a couple of seconds to come in to play after you turn it on!!! But as for recording it is so easy if you read the instruction, yeh it takes a moment to set up to record as do every other recording product out there! it is a gr8 machine if you can get a grip on the remote that has way to many buttons for me...
