Excellent value for money, this medium-bodied Barolo exhibits juicy red fruits with hints of tobacco and leather. The tannins are big and very typical of the Nebbiolo variety. If you are a fan of Barolo this wine is too good to miss.

The 1969 Prandi is a fine example of the good Italian vintage. It is a powerfully structured wine, tannic and deep ruby, with a warm and complex flavour. Ascheri Barolo Pisapola 2008 is, after fermentation, aged in stainless steel and then 18 months in Slavonian oak before a further 10 months in bottle before release. It is a brilliant garnet wine with all the classic Barolo characteristics. The nose is intense, violets and ripe fruit and the palate is full-bodied, firm and persistent but with tannins soft and velvety.
