Visit in the spring to see the UK's finest collection of Candelabra Primulas as well as bluebells, camellia's and wood anemones. Summer brings Hygrangeas, Philadelphus and many wild flowers. Migrant birds and other wildlife come to the garden in the autumn, and there are many varieties of fungi and toadstools. Winter walks are great for spotting King Fishers, Deer and Otters.
The FairhavenWoodlandandWaterGarden comprises 53 hectares (130 acres) of beautiful ancient woodland, water gardens and a private broad at South Walsham in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. The garden was left in trust by the 2nd Lord Fairhaven in 1973, and was opened to the public in 1975. We work hard to preserve and enhance the garden according to Lord Fairhaven's wishes. Fun dog day for all the family with a companion dog show, agility, demonstrations, doggy stalls, food and drink and lots of games for you and your four-legged friend. The event is to raise money for Hallswood Animal Sanctuary.

This is a practical workshop in our woodlandgarden for beginners or intermediates using SLR or DSLR cameras led by professional photographer Peter Mallett. The workshop will cover subject selection, lens choice, use of extension tubes and other accessories, composition, depth of field, natural and artificial lighting. Includes tea/coffee and biscuits from 9am. Please bring your own camera and instruction manual.
