Description and Reviews: Chasse-Spleen made a good, elegant 1978. Displaying a generous, intense, smoky, blackcurrant bouquet, and chewy, medium-bodied flavours, it has a surprisingly long, spicy, soft finish.

Description of this Moulis With a name evoking rapture and joy, it is hardly surprising that Chasse-Spleen provokes similar sensations with its wine. The vineyard is planted on an outcrop of gravel, clay and limestone not far from the château with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes. Displaying a purple colour, the 1996 has a typical nose of Cabernet Sauvignon. Concentrated, tannic, this is a great classic.

Description and Reviews: Bouquet of cigar-box, kirsch and sweet liquorice along with some volatility. The palate is quite high-toned, peppery with well-integrated tannins. Quite focused and harmonious on the finish. A good 82!
