The Blanc Souverain Pur Chardonnay is produced from 100% Chardonnay coming from the villages of Mesnil sur Oger, Vertus, Chouilly and Trepail on the Cotes des Blancs. 38% of the wine is reserve to ensure continuity of style and maturity.

Strongly influenced by the weather during the extremely hot 2003 vintage, the Brut 2003 is an impressive combination of richness and elegance. Its higher proportion than usual of Pinot Noir gives it delicious black fruit characters. It is beautifully balanced with concentration, freshness and a delicate, toasty aroma.

Tasting Note: This wonderfully rounded brut is a complex cuvée. A blend of equal amounts of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Grand Cru vineyards, complemented with fruit from a number of Premier Cru sites, the wine has a complex nose with rich aromas revealing layers of black fruit. The richness of the Pinot dominates the palate, complementing the rich Chardonnay notes.

The Champagne comes from one of the oldest family-owned houses in Champagne, enjoying seven generations of uninterrupted ownership since the late 1700s. Champagne Henriot's Rosé Brut is obtained by adding Pinot Noir vinified as a red wine to the assemblage. Rosé Brut is made up of a majority of Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs.
