A multi-vintage or non-vintage wine allows the skilful blending of younger wines to impart vibrant colour and lifted primary fruit flavours with older wines that add soft textures and complex flavours. Overall this non-vintage Sparkling Shiraz wine is an exceptional blend of Shiraz from different vintages with different but highly compatible personalities.

Turkey Flat Sparkling Shirazhas a basecreated froma fewof the finest barrels ofShiraz. Base wines are matured in seasoned French oak hogsheads for up to three years before being tiraged in the traditional champagne method. Following this second fermentation the wine is left to mature in the bottle on lees for 10 months before disgorgement and liquoring with very old Australian vintage port (ranging in age from 14 to 40 years). The wine has a lifted spicy nose with blackberries, mulberries and ripe figs dominating. Underlying hints of wild thyme, musk and cloves. A very fruit driven wine with great length and drinkability - a true one-off and a treat for the tastebuds with spicy food, dark chocolate or mature cheese.

Description Like Hen's Teeth as far as availability goes but like nectar of the gods for fans of this peculiarly Australian wine style. Majella's fabulous Shiraz is bottle fermented like Champagne and then a little vintage port is added to give a well balanced sweet/savoury sparkling wine - ideal with food, before or after a meal..or anytime!

A powerful wine rich and soft in texture. The silky palate oozes sweet mixed berry conserve, rum and raisin , white chocolate and spicy vanillin oak finished with a balanced explosion of spice, crisp acid and soft elegant tannin length.

The wines of Langmeil from the Barossa region of South East Australia just north of Adelaide continue to be very successful. The majority of Langmeil's vineyards are dry grown (no irrigation) which means low yields and therefore maximum concentration of flavour with huge extract and are amazingly complex yet ever so subtle.
