This is an oaky white made from Pinot Gris; this style of wine seeems to be quite popular in Burgenland, and they do it very well indeed. This wine bears comparison with that made by Josef Lentsch over in Podersdorf, although Heidi's example is slightly lighter in style and a bit more elegant than the Lentsch wine, which is quite a big number. In other words it's in keeping with Heidi's house style; her Grauburgunder needs a little time in bottle and the 2009 is drinking well now.
