The finished wine spends over a year maturing in oak casks. The resulting wine is concentrated with aromas of of plum, blackcurrant, raspberry, jam�and�chocolate with enticing hints of�vanilla from the oak ageing.

You really need to ignore the word Chardonnay on this label and replace it with ‘Chablis’. Well Chablis is made from Chardonnay, but often has that steely beauty that most Chardonnays don’t quite get. This is a bit fruitier than the French Classic, but still hasthat lip-smacking edge to set it apart.

These two varietals really do marry perfectly! Intense aromas combine with a supple fresh mouthfeel to create an elegant, complex and interesting wine. Citrus grapefruit flavours from the Chardonnay balance well with vanilla hints from its time in oak and minerality keeps it lively throughout. A perfect match for delicate white meat dishes.

The Chardonnay Barrica is 60% in barrel (French and American Oak) and is sourced from the best Chardonnay grapes. Left on the lees for six months with regular battonage this produces a wine with good flavour and creamy texture. A silky mid palate with flavours of tropical fruits, vanilla, butter and nuts. Ideal with lobster, battered/crumbed fish and chicken in rich sauces.

Raimat Chardonnay 2011 is a 100% Chardonnay with a lovely clean buttery yellow colour. The nose has rich aromas of tropical fruits and a hint of spice. It has spent a short time in contact with oak, but the fruit is not diminished, rather it has an added complexity. There is a good, cleanly balanced acidity and an excellent length.

A zesty, lovely light wine with full aromas of white peach, floral notes and fresh grass. The fresh, full rounded palate is citrus driven plus some white flower. A long finish. Ideal as an aperitif and perfect with seafood and rice, light pastas and white meats.

It's like biting into a fresh nectarine with hints of peach, mango and pineapple, enveloped with zesty lime and lemon and excellent acidity. Clean, fresh and tangy and really very drinkable.
