Chateau Rauzan Segla 2006 is produced from hand harvester grapes and undergoes a 3 week fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. After malolactic fermentation the wines is aged, with regular racking, for 20 months in French oak barriques and then bottled. Description and Reviews: The nose is attractive with dried orange peel, more fruit concentration than the 1966 with ripe blackberry, hedgerow and a touch of violets. The palate is medium-bodied, lacking the vigour and vivacity of the previous bottle but with good acidity. Briary, redcurrant and leather towards the finish.
