I bought these because there are a lot of pastels in a box that fits easily into a rucksack as it is a narrow box. Sennelier are not my first choice of pastels, but most of these are very soft and pleasant to use, even on cartridge paper. It's a great range of colours for landscape and seascape in all seasons.
