In 1895 John McGilchrist Ross (a brother of Balblair's James Ross) relinquished the distillery tenancy. Control of the distillery is taken over by a partnership of spirit merchant John Munro and whisky broker Robert Innes Cameron who also acquire all capital and assets in 1898. In 1904 Robert Innes Cameron (who also owned parts of Benrinnes , Linkwood and Tamdhu ) became the sole proprietor of Teaninich. This Teaninich from Wemyss was distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2011 from a Bourbon Hogshead which produced 201 bottles.

70cl / 47.80% - Distilled at the Teaninich distillery in December 1982, this is a 30 year old, single cask Speyside malt. It was aged in a refill butt before bottling for the Directors Cut range in late 2012. A release of just 201 bottles.

70cl / 40.10% - Teaninich is a popular whisky with blenders however this bottle has been bottled by Berry Brothers and Rudd for the London Scottish restaurant chain Boisdale.

Teaninich Distillery is one of the largest distilleries in Scotland and the whisky is an assertive single malt with a spicy, smoky, satisfying taste.

One of only 239 bottles charged from a refill hogshead. Distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2010. Nose: Opens sweetly and carries a spicy caramelized fruit quality. Palate: Very gentle, a toffee and milk chocolate character Finish: Round and vanilla tablet and gentle spices that linger. Bottled at 50% volume.

A special and rare bottling of Teaninich single malt, more usually found these days as part of Johnnie Walker. This was released in 1991 to celebrate the reopening of the distillery, closed since 1985, and a visit from the Highland Regional Council, Ross & Cromarty Distinct council and the Ross & Cromarty Local Enterprise Company.

Teaninich is another of those forgotten 'T' distilleries. While some bottlings in the past have left most people wanting, this standard 10yo is a surprisingly appetising, fruity and assertive dram that shows good fruity development with a distinctive smoky balance. Very drinkable stuff.

3cl / 43.00% - A rare 10 year old from the Eastern Highland distillery, Teaninich. The Flora and Fauna series are becoming increasingly rare.

This Cadenhead's Teaninich was distilled in 1993 and bottled in June 2011 from a Bourbin Hogshead which produce 240 bottles.
