VegaSiciliaValbuena 2008 Ribera del Duero
VegaSicilia is one of Ribera del Duero's most prestigious estates, specialising in the production of blends from local Tempranillo clones, with small additions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec. Valbuena is made from the fruit of the estate's younger vines, fermented in stainless steel. It then undergoes over 3 years' ageing in new and old oak casks. It has a garnet cherry red colour with orange undertones, and mixes softness and ripeness of fruit with an ethereal, well-evolved character.
