Chateau Petit Village Le Jardin de Petit Village 2010 is owned by owner of Chateau Pichon-Baron AXA Millesimes whose stweardship has seen investments in up-grading both the cellar and the vineyards. Following harvest and crushing the juice is fermented in temperature-controlled, lined concrete vats. Chateau Petit-Village is situated in the heart of the Pomerol appellation; its 11 hectares of vines lie next door to Vieux Chateau Certan. The estate shares an owner (AXA Millesimes) with Chateau Pichon-Baron and, as with the latter, Petit-Village has benefitted from renovation and improvement over the last two decades. Deep, intense, ruby red colour. On the nose there are aromas of and ripe soft red fruits with a touch of vanilla from the oak. The tannins are ripe and the aromas on the nose are reflected on the smooth palate. Finish is long, this is a wine to drink now or left to further develop in the bottle.
