citation reference : 46 results priced between £75.00 and £200.00

Friends, I don't even know quite how to describe this one. I've got a 8 page Word 2007 document running under WindowsXP. When I changed the format of the citation/bibligraphy in CWYW from Turbian to MLA, it kept calling up X3 and inserting the citation in the text over an over. I mean 20 times until I shut down Word entirely. As soon as I pull the document back up, it pulls up X3 and starts inserting again. Yikes! Any ideas?  

I recently upgraded to X3 from X.  I use Word 2003 on Windows XP.  I have Write While You Cite turned on.  This is the first time I've inserted a citation in a Word document since the upgrade.  All the normal things happened, including the creation of a full reference at the end of the document, except for the fact that the formatted in-text citation is not there.  I have Word set to display hidden text, so that's not the problem.  When I right click and toggle field codes, the reference info is...

Hello, Currently I'm searching for literature and I have ended up with fourty citation references that I want to import into Endnote. What I have done is chosen to import a reference from google ending up with .enw files, but as I want to import them into Endnote I can only chose one at a time (in the chose the file to import window) which bothers me as there are already plenty and more will come. Is there anyway to work around this? I have earlier looked for a solution to this problem without result...

Hello (I am new to the forum)   I have been using Endnote X3 on Windows vista and for some reason recently I have been having a lot of problems. I have tried to clean up the code by unformatting citations etc but it hasnt made any difference. Two puzzling things have happened. 1. When I add a figure citation and the figure has been inserted elsewhere in the document, a new figure number is added instead of its existing one 2. I have a figure caption appearing on the first line of my references!!...

Can't tell exactly why they are gone or rearranging, but I guess because the regular ( and ) were used for delimiters. Here's what I suggest.     1. Change the Endnote preference of temporary citation delimiter to curly brackets. 2. Scan through your individual chapter files, and make sure they are all at the right place. 3. I work for a large pharma company and our submission process... is a JOY.  We link the citations back to the reference list manually.  Investigators while reading a paragraph will often click on the citation to pull up the refences so they can obtain the article.   Does endnote links back, within the document, to the bibliography it creates while I cite while I write?    If not - please work it into your future version as it will save us hours of rework. 

Using word 2007 with CWYW disabled, I just tried to unformat my citations and found that it would not go. No error message came up, but nothing changed on screen. When I tried to reformat citations, my unformatted citations in the opened document were deleted. I was able to resolve the issue by restarting my computer. Hi everybody,   I use the Built-in Endnote search feature to pick-up references in pubmed. But the pitfall with this option is that only references are imported without abstracts !  I really (!) would like that endnote imports references with their abstracts. Why it doesn't do in this way? Of course, there are some other ways to import abstracts with references (as text file or downloding citation from journal website...) but these ways are somehow tedious overtime! I have been searching a ProQuest database and can import the references if I export them as a .ris file.  The only problem is that the full text articles do not import with the citations.  I tried again exporting as a pdf will to see if I could get them that way.  The PDF file compiles all of the references into one file.  If I open the pdf, I can see the full text articles.  The problem is that the pdf only imports as a one line file.  It does not give me the citations and it does not give...

hello all, I'm using X3 and word 2007.  I want to create 1 word file with many chapters (1,2,3, etc).  I have worked on all chapters in different word files (chap1.docx, chap2.docx, etc.) I want to create one word file with all chapters but, i want to create one bibliography per chapter (chap1 with bibl1, chap 2 with bibl2, and so on).   Now, what i get is one bibliography per chapter BUT will all citations from ALL chapters.    How do I tell X3 to take only the citations from one section...

You'll need use EndNote's edit feature to change the citation.  Place your cursor on the citation you want to change then right-click to display a submenu, select EDIT CITATIONS, MORE. I always suggest a series of questions, the first few of which you have already done. (unformat and reformat, and reinsert).    I wondered if your citations are more complex than your examples?  Are there introduced semi-colons or other unusual characters?  What does the full unformated citation in curly brackets really look like for Citation A (in particular the ones the are converted to Citation B).   What  do they look like when you select the formated citation and "edit" it....

It sounds like your temporary citation "mark" has been changed to either regular parentheses or square brackets (but it can't be both?).  There are two places this can be adjusted. The main permanant location for all newly created documents and also changes existing manuscripts, in the endnote preferences options for temporary citatation delimiters, or you can change it on the fly for a specific manuscript in the format bibliography dialog.
