Notes St Saviour's Grammar School was a free grammar school located in the borough of Southwark, south of the River Thames in London, England. It existed as a separate entity from 1559 until 1896, and from that time lived on in the name of "St Olave's and St Saviour's Schools Foundation" which continues to this day supporting St Olave's Grammar School for boys and St Saviour's and St Olave's Church of England School for Girls.
Published 1961. Some wear to edges of jacket, some tears and discolouring to spine. Bookplate on inside front cover has small glue marks on. Published in time to mark the 400 years since Queen Elizabeth granted authorisation to open the school, this book covers 'Earlier Schools before 1561', 'The New Foundation and the State 1877-1961' and all the years between.
Published by J.H. Henstock & Son in 1939. The blue boards show some very minor signs of shelf-wear at the spine but are otherwise in excellent condition. Internally excellent also with clean and unmarked pages.
