The stand turned up in a very heavy box and this is only partly due to the stand itself - there was wood completely encasing the item to prevent damage (if only all manufacturers thought of this!). The instructions were very easy to follow and only took a few moments to assemble. The quality of the glass and chrome legs are very good and I have no doubt they have hold the weight of larger TV's (I have a 37" Panasonic plasma). Looks fantastic assembled and a bargain for the price.
