Thalia' is one of the finest all-white Dwarf Narcissi available, if not THE finest. A 'Triandrus' type, these have slightly nodding flowers with a proportionately large cup, though the flowers in their entirety are small, and produced in great abundance like a frothy white cloud. Even a small clump of these is delightful - and good in containers, not least as they love good drainage. A newer-type of 'Telephium-hybrid' stonecrop, these are similar in many respects to 'Purple Emperor', however with an even tidier habit, and with less of a tendency to spread out of control. Some of the plants have orange and yellow tints to the flowers, however the predominant colour is a deep rich pink. A hardy relative of Ginger, growing from a tuberous root. A hybrid of uncertain origin, but believed to have arisen from a cross between two sturdy species, R.auticulata and R. cautleyoides. One of the best known varieties among enthusiasts, 'Quadricolor' is a bit of a favorite due to its' ease of growth and ability to from strong flowering clumps in relatively little time. This is a selected hybrid of Lilium formosanum var pricei, which has pure white flowers of a 'trumpet' shape. Due to its heritage, this is a particularly hardy Lily, and makes a good hardy alternative to Lilium candidum, which has more exacting standards for cultivation.
