Every year a few colognes and perfumes get to be in the spotlight for having exceeded the creative standards in the fragrance industry. Often the winners are new products, but that is not always a steadfast rule. Yearly awards for perfumes and colognes are picked by industry experts, including the media, retailers, manufacturers, and suppliers. The categories include best new fragrance, best packaging and advertising, and people's choice. There are even awards for the best Euro scent and a special hall of fame selection.
