Rattles Buying Guide

Rattles are designed especially for younger babies and are known as boot and wrist rattles which can be wound around the ankle or wrist of the babies.  Some are made out of plastic or wood with single or multiple textures. Most of the rattles not only look attractive to the eyes but also find it enjoyable to feel various textures.

Choosing Baby Rattles

  • Baby rattles are available in various shapes, colours and features. Choose colourful ones that catch the attention of your babies.
  • Babies like to grip or hold things; get rattles with clinking rings.
  • Babies who are undergoing the process of teething might find the rattles attached to teethers very useful.
  • You can also choose squeaky attachments to keep your child engaged.
  • Rattles with attachment features like the ones that can be attached to strollers or play mats keep the babies engaged for a long time.
  • They should be chosen in bigger size so that they do not get inside the mouth of the infants that easily.
  • You need to avoid rattles if they have sharp edges that can hurt the child.
  • You can choose rattles that are appropriate for the age of the baby.
  • It is better to choose the one which does not have many parts but made of one piece.
  • They should not have toxic paints on them.
