Christmas Gifts for Boyfriends Buying Guide

Contents[Hide]

Buying a gift for your boyfriend can be super difficult. Guys aren't as easily pleased by chocolates  or flowers , and accessories for guys are limited. Many men are happy with their old wallets and aren't interested in the latest designer trends. Yes, it definitely adds to the holiday stress to have a boyfriend to buy a gift for, especially if you guys just started dating. The good news is that guys usually take gifts a little less seriously than their female counterparts, so chances are that buying a flop of a gift won't solely break your relationship.

How To Spend

  • Advice For The New Couple

If you have just started dating and it has only been a month or two that you have been seeing each other, you probably should think twice about giving gifts at Christmas. Unless you know for sure that he's planning to buy you something, don't even worry about it. If he might be getting you something, consider getting a small gift for him. It shouldn't cost more than 32 EUR. If nothing comes to mind, consider just taking him out to dinner or treat him to a night on the town.

  • Together For Three to Six Months

If you've been together at least three months, that usually means that there is some sort of exclusivity starting to happen between the two of you. Getting a Christmas gift is definitely a good idea, but don't think that you have to spend a lot -- keep it under 64 EUR or whatever suits your budget. Remember, this is just the beginning. You want something that shows you have a clue about what he's into, whether it be sports, music, movies, art, fashion, travel, etc. You also want the gift to stay fairly simple. Getting too romantic or commitment-happy in your gift giving could strike a sour note with your new beau. Here are some safe gifts to give in this early stage of your relationship.

  • Together For Six Months to a Year

By now it's probably clear that you are both quite serious about the relationship. Gifts at this stage should definitely show that you've put some thought into them. They should suit his style and personality too. Spend upwards of 32 EUR, but not more than 130 EUR.

  • The One Year Mark and Beyond

There is no limit to how much you can spend or how extravagant the gift may be. It all depends on how close you are and what type of a commitment you have.
