Wood has been in use since ancient times to make a host of things like hunting gear and vessels. Even today wood is preferred in many homes for making furniture. Woodwork tools are available in plenty for many of you who would like to do the woodwork on your own without any interference. Woodworking becomes incomplete with tools such as chisels, screwdrivers, nail punches and pullers. Nail punches are tools required to fit nails below the timber surface. They are available in a wide range of sizes and the size may differ based on the type of the nail used. In order to remove the misplaced or bent nails, pullers are used.
Nail punches are made of steel. It is a rod with a flat cylindrical shape at one end which is used to push the nail in or below a surface. This will hide the nails but also make holes. A smooth finish can be got in the place where the hole was created as the nails are not visible now. They are made in a variety of sizes to match different nail sizes. An ideal toolbox should have nail punchers and nails for different sizes.
Nail pullers are also known as pincers. They are used to remove nails from wood. A pincer has a set of handles and jaws joined together with a pivot for clasping and releasing the nails. There are three types of nail pullers, they are as below:
