Soul Calibur is one of the best fighting games of all time. They are still releasing games for new consoles. The graphics are amazing, the moves are hilarious and intense, and the gameplay is in depth but to the point. |
Street Fighter III: Third Strike Again, this fighting game still has major respect in the gaming world. Third Strike is the third installment in the Street Fighter III franchise and improves greatly on older versions. The best part about this game is the ability to customize your gameplay. Don't like a certain feature? Simply turn it off and be on your merry way to perfect, personal gameplay. |
This is your standard 3D platformer, but that makes it no less good. The world is super vast, which makes there an endless amount of places to explore. There are hidden bonuses to find and levels to beat, all while enjoying its impressive graphics.

You can't have Sega without Sonic! This game is in full 3D and Sonic is faster than ever. The one player mode is amazing due to its enormous size and elaborate and unique stages. The final end of the game does not disappoint; it manages to be satisfying, over-the-top, and true to its roots at the same time. |

Huge, gigantic arenas give this game an edge over other fighting games. You use over a hundred different weapons to fight other characters and not be fooled by tricky levels and changing sceneries. This is often compared in concept to games like Super Smash Bros |
This game is a deep and addicting sports game based on a simple two button control scheme. Play with up to three other people or use the single player mode to make your ranks in the virtual world of tennis. Especially great for tennis fans and players of the sport. |
Quake was the first ever online FPS (first person shooter, for all you first time gamers). The graphics are smooth and clean, and the multiplayer mode is simply flawless. This is why Dreamcasts have modems! |
If you are a puzzle game fan, look no further. This Tetris-like game is complex enough for even the best puzzle solver. Use Mr. Driller to make blocks fall, all the while making sure he doesn't get squished while digging to the depths of Earth. |
Though it was on the cheesy side, what made this first person shooter great was that you could decide what path to take and there were always bonuses and surprises around every corner. |

Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future These graphics are amazingly beautiful for the time. The sea comes to life as you play a dolphin trying to save the world. It is surprisingly challenging, but the great story and tight controls make it all worth it. |
This game finally brought Resident Evil into its 3D future. Everything (the story, gameplay, controls, graphics, and gore) combine to make this game one of the best released on the console. This is a horror game at its best. |
This game is hours of fun and frustration. You play a cab driver (surprise!) who has to pick up customers and get them to their destinations in time-- by any means necessary. This zanny game is amusing, challenging, but easy to learn. |
This game was one of the most realistic of the time. It uses a real-time scale and all non-playing characters actually have their own lives to live. Help Ryo find his father's killer and use Virtua Fighter |
If you like quirky, cartoonish racing games filled with plenty of power-ups, then this game is a must have. Wacky Races is quite like Mario Kart |
