Separates
A blouse with a skirt or with nice trousers will work for a birthday party, dinner outing, or special holiday, but be sure that all of the pieces coordinate for a nice and polished look. The best part is that separates can serve as casual clothing when worn with a different ensemble!
Spring/Summer:
Look for tops in light colours . Pair this with cotton chinos , a flowing tiered skirt , or a poofy party skirt depending on the level of dress that you want to achieve.
Autumn/Winter:
Think heavier fabrics or sparkle, but limit that to only one of the pieces. Long-sleeved blouses will pair with velvet ,velour ,houndstooth , or plaid skirts. Black tuxedo trousers are also a classic favourite to dress up any ensemble; pair them with a cashmere cardigan set or dressy sweater for plenty of warmth. |
Dresses
Dresses for girls are fun and work well as an all-in-one coordinated ensemble. With so many styles, a dress can be worn to a family dinner or to a wedding, depending on how fancy the dress is. The options are endless!
Summer/Spring:
Light and airy dresses are very pretty in the summer, especially when worn in pastels or white . Sun dresses in fabrics such as linen or seersucker will give a more casual feel, or for a more special occasion try a summer party dress . Cover up the shoulders with a shrug !
Autumn/Winter:
Holiday dresses lead the way during these seasons, and fabrics such as velvet ,wool ,satin , or corduroy will work in the colder months. For a dressy feel, look for a party dress . To keep it more casual, think about a jumper or sweater dress . Keep warm with a shawl or dressy cardigan .
