RCA Cables Buying Guide

Using high quality connections are especially necessary if you want to enjoy a great performance from your video and audio gear. RCA cables help in conveying video and audio signals to various electronic audio-video devices. They are used the most in computers, televisions, stereos, VCRs, speakers and gaming consoles.  Mostly RCA cables have two to three colour coded connectors. The black or white connector for left stereo, red for right stereo and yellow for composite video.  

Types of RCA Cables  

  • Single RCA cables: Available in three-to 50-foot lengths, these single RCA cables can be purchased for single audio and video patching. They come with protective jackets made of nylon mesh and gold plated tips. 
  • Dual RCA cables: With gold contact connectors and spiral braided wires, dual RCA cables are unbalanced cables. They come with two pairs of yellow and black connectors or red and white/black. 
  • Triple RCA cables: For single-channel composite video and dual-channel stereo audio go for Triple RCA cables. They come with PVC protective jackets.  

Keep in Mind

  • Make sure that the video cable does not become loose or fall out easily. This might cause disruptions.
