How to Choose Battery Charger

• Digital screen: Battery chargers with digital screen indicate the exact MAH that the battery is charged to.
• Battery chargers with a discharge feature are especially useful to store Nickel Cadmium in a discharged state.
• Before purchasing a battery charger you should make sure that it has a cycle function. This renders the battery a workout that will make it stronger.  
• It might not be possible to keep checking if the batteries are fully charged. Therefore, you can think of getting a charger that has the ability to detect when the batteries are fully charged and which comes with an automatic switch-off.

Take care to keep the battery terminals clean always, as dirty terminals may cause poor contact between the camera and the battery. The ideal way would be to polish the terminals, perhaps with a soft cotton swab before charging and using the battery.
