Health and Beauty Products Onboard
Gone are the days during which you couldn't fly with any liquids, gels, or aerosols in your carry-on. Hand sanitizer
lovers and beauty addicts, rejoice! In case you haven't flown in a while, these are the latest guidelines for bringing your favourite products on the plane with you.
The Rules
- Three-ounce containers
. Basically, you can take anything with you in quantities of three ounces or less. Read the fl. oz markings on travel size bottles of lotion, etc., to be sure you're in the safe zone.
- Clear plastic, zip-top gallon bags
. Put all your bottles of liquids, gels, and aerosols (3oz, mind you!) in here. You're only allowed one, so pack carefully.
- Shampoo
,conditioner
, and shower gel
can all be packed in trial sizes
in your carry-on bag, but if you're going on a long trip, put the big bottles in your checked luggage.
The Alternatives
Okay, so you've started packing and, horror of horrors, your hair gel
,hand sanitizer
,body lotion
,finishing spray
,toothpaste
,mouthwash
,facial cleanser
,anti-ageing serum
,mascara
,foundation
, and eau de toilette
have put you way, way over your gallon bag allotment. Good news: a few creative products can keep you cleansed, moisturised, and smelling great without taking up space in that plastic bag. Why? They're solid!
