Types of Napkins and Folds

• Materials: Napkins are available in various materials ranging from cotton, damask or linen to satin, paper and silk.  Disposable or paper napkins are apt for large scale catering for events like family gatherings, celebration dinners and wedding receptions. The selection of napkins also depends on the ease of washing, storage and resistance to stains. Certain materials like cotton napkins might also need ironing as they crease easily.

Napkin rings are available in various types, styles and decorations made up of various materials like plastic, wood, metal (gold, silver, stainless steel), ceramic and so on.  The typically the shape of a napkin ring is as you image - a ring. Some have simplified the decorative item to a simple belly-band or a hair scrunchy-like design. You can either go for wide and narrow rings. You can choose napkin rings that can be coordinated with napkins, tablecloth and placements so that they do not look out of place.
