Karate
is a martial-art
, characterised by its distinct combination of kicking, punching, knee strikes, elbow strikes and open-handed techniques such as the famous karate chop. training. Many Karateka (practitioners of Karate) are respectful and mindful of the philosophical ideals of Karate. The philisophical ideals of Karate stress the importance of the responsibility of the individual. Karate can be deadly when practised by an expert and as such should only ever be used in exceptional circumstances.
