Kitchen Sink Organisation

Even if you're lucky enough to have a dishwasher (or luckier still, a Jeeves to deal with all your dishes for you!), chances are high that, at some point, maybe in the far future, you will have to wash a pot or a pan by hand.  Rather than be unexpectedly and unpleasantly surprised by this occasion, it's a good idea to have your sink stocked and ready for anything.  The items below will help keep your kitchen sink tidy and organised, so you'll be prepared at a moment's notice.

Essential Items

Dish Racks  and Drainers

Dish drainers come in wood ,plastic ,chrome , and so on, so you'll find one that goes with the rest of your decorating.  No excuses!

Sink Protectors

Keeps your sink protected from nicks and scratches, and offers a bit of cushion should your gran's china accidentally slip out of your hand.

Sponge Holders

Kitchen sponges are cesspools of bacteria.  To reduce spreading it around, replace your sponge frequently and let it air out in between uses.

In-Sink Baskets

Dishes can dry here if you'd rather not have a counter rack, plus this also serves as a handy basket in which to wash fruits and veggies.

Cutlery Holders

A lot of dish racks come with their own cutlery holder, but if yours doesn't, no sweat!

Sink Caddies

A place for everything, and everything in its place.  Embrace your inner OCD victim.

Towel Trees

If you'd rather not air dry, make sure you have a stock of clean towels on hand.

Soap Dispensers

Because that little plastic pump bottle sitting by your tap is just so plebeian.
