High chairs are another useful piece of nursery furniture. When buying a high chair, ensure that the base is broad and stable, that there are straps to hold the baby at the waist and between the legs and that the front and sides of the seat are securely barred to prevent the baby from slipping.
Nursery seats are shaped as booster seats, stools, sofas, bean bags etc. You can have a variety of different seating furniture and coordinate the pieces based on design and colour - just as you would with your own living room. For example, you may wish to provide a couple of chairs or stools for use at the table while your child is drawing or colouring and then a sofa or a bean bag for your child to relax on.
