Basic Rugby Apparel

• Rugby Shirt or Jersey: If this is not provided by your club or team, then you should go by your team colour. They are available in all sizes for men and women. For children who play matches or simply indulge in a leisurely game, rugby apparel is readily available too. Rugby shirts and jerseys are generally short-sleeved and preferably made of breathable cotton. There are jerseys available as supporters’ merchandise in case you are one of the rugby fans. You can go for shirts that may or may not have piping at the sleeves.  
• Rugby Shorts: Go for shorts in durable material due to the nature of the game. Colours such as navy, black or white are suitable, as they easily match different jerseys. 
• Rugby Socks: These socks will generally have extra soft and padded soles. They are knee high in length. You could go for patterned or special coloured socks matching your team colours. 
• Base Layer: You should also go in for layering garments to protect yourself from bruising. These garments also double up as thermal protection when the weather is cold. Such layers are generally long-sleeved shirts and fitting Capri tights.
