Steampunk Comics and Graphic Novels

By User:mconlin @timeAndDate(1271367455) We all love the instant gratification television and film provides us but you can't help but feel that it sometimes lacks the depth and narration of the written word. Illustrated narration (ooh fancy word for comic books and graphic novels) is a solution to this problem. You get the gratification of stylistic images along with a real nailsteampunk out.

Manga

* Fullmetal Alchemist: Just like in the TV series you can follow the adventures of Edward and Alphonse Elrich in their search for the Philosopher's Stone. *Comics and Graphic Novels *Issue 5 print should be happy. There are supposedly a limited number (around 100) in existence due to a dispute with Moore, DC and Marvel about an "inappropriate" advertisement. * Grandville: A British graphic novel about a badger named Archie Lebrok that investigates the mysterious murder of an otter with a questionable past and tie to a gang of assassins. * Le Régulateur: If you're into reading things in foreign languages, Le Régulateur is a good French series for art. It focuses on two assassins, Nyx and Ambrosia, and the political corruption within their dark city. * Steampunk: I know, real original title, right? If you look past that aspect you'll see it has some pretty cool stuff. The art itself is just fun and colorful. Unfortunately it only lasted 12 issues. * The Five Fists of Science: What could be cooler than a fictional interpretation starring Nikola Tesla and his crazy electrical wires? Okay, maybe a date with Milla Jovavich, but still. This series is about Mark Twain and Tesla joining forces to end war.
