Women’s swim shorts are an alternate option that some argue are more practical, comfortable, and provide more protection from the sun.  Swim shorts were originally developed for aquatic sports, specifically for surfing, but in more recent years they have become a popular form of general beach and swimwear.

• Running Shorts: Running suits give a looser fit. They come with or without pockets.

• Built-in Panty Swim Shorts: These are shorts that have panty liner built right into the fabric. You can wear these types of swim shorts directly over your one-piece suit or over a bikini or a tankini top.

• Skirted Swim Shorts: These short combine the look of a skirt while lending the movement of shorts.

• Get the right size that fits you and makes you feel comfortable. 

• No matter what type of swimsuit you choose, don't forget to carry sun creams and sun glasses to protect you from the harmful UV rays.
