Video Capture Cards and TV Cards Buying Guide
Most video capture cards 
have dual functionality - they have video or both audio/video inputs to capture video or audio/video from an external A/V source (such as a camcorder or VCR ). When the capture card is for video only, the sound card is normally used for audio capture to go along with the video. The other usage is as a TV Tuner .
