Video Game Accessories Buying Guide

Getting into gaming can be surprisingly stressful and daunting. With all of the games that allow you to interact  with other gamers, playing video games has become a social experience. Any gamer, noob or otherwise knows that it's all about the supplies. You might be kicking behind and taking names, but if you don't have a headset , you won't be able to tell that annoying kid how much you just killed his character, and you'll just have to listen to him whine about how you 'totally cheated' or whatever his story is. And if you forget to pick up a new memory card --chances are you might just play fifteen levels, get to a checkpoint and be completely out of luck. When you take video games as seriously as some, you're just not playing unless you have the supplies.

Basics

A Video Game Case  keeps your games, system and accessories organised, protected, and you can play your console while it is secured in the case.

A Wireless Controller  is helpful when the couch is just a hair too far for regular wired controllers to reach, or there are a few too many friends over for everyone to have a seat within range. It works like a regular controller, but does not require a cord.

A DVD Playback Kit  lets you use your gaming console, specifically Xbox , more like a DVD player .  This allows for easy DVD watching with a remote similar to the kind you use for a regular DVD player.

Game Repair Kits  help you clean your games and fill in scratches for easier game play. These run on batteries, and even work for your DVDs.

Not-So-Basic

When your game collection has reached the point that the pile has become an avalanche risk, maybe a Video Game Rack  would be a safe investment.  This provides better care of your games, as well as a safety precaution for your pets.

A Gaming Glove  offers wrist support, and works well for gamers who are worried about slippery palms when it comes to controlling the mouse.  Furthermore, it relieves some of the wrist stress of continued use, and is available in right and left hand dominant versions.

A Dance Pad  lets you play certain dancing games  the way they were intended.  Instead of pushing the symbols on your controller, this way, you can play the physical game with jumping, dancing--sometimes falling--but you're have much more fun than playing the version where you push controller buttons rhythmically.

A Memory Card  allows for more save space for portable consoles. Many stationary consoles don't require these, but older stationary consoles and portables still do.

PWN

Video Game Chairs  bring gaming from the couch to the chair. These chairs are designed to fit the back and be comfortable.  They are made with fibres that 'breathe,' have storage containers (some have cup holders), and many have speakers built in. Also good for watching TV or using as a chair.

A Wheel Controller  lets you feel like the game where you drive a car is more like actually driving a car. Some wheel controllers come with pedals and/or a gear shift. Makes for easier gaming with better control.

With a Video Game Headset , you can hear it clearly when others call you a noob, and you can respond in kind with clarity. Works with interactive games or online games where interaction with other gamers occurs.

Consider a Gaming Magazine Subscription  to stay afloat of recent gaming news, read reviews of new games, and check out the articles.
