Xbox Games Buying Guide

Though the original Xbox  is no longer the latest system from Microsoft, but it still stands in history as a quality console. The Xbox 360  is even capable of playing many Xbox titles, though if you have the Core system, you'll need to purchase a hard drive to play the old Xbox games. We've selected several of the most popular and highest rated games that were released for the original Xbox. Whether you prefer first-person shooters or adventure games, there is something for everyone on this list. Happy gaming!

Fable

This RPG was Microsoft's answer to Zelda . The unique quality about this game is that it isn't made for hardcore gamers. If you want a game that is easy to learn but always a blast to play, then this may be your best bet. While the storyline is a bit lacking, the lands are beautifully designed and fun to explore.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

If you are a fan of the Tom Clancy series, then this game is a must. The improvements made were vast and useful. This game still stands as one of the most entertaining and smoothest adventure-fighting game.

Halo 2

Though gamers are constantly debating whether the original Halo  or Halo 2 is better, no one can top the amount of hype that this game received. The best part? It actually lives up to that hype. Playing Halo 2 online is still a pure adrenaline rush, no matter what fancy new systems you have.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time

This game blends action, adventure and platforming genres perfectly. Though the game is on the short side and there are not very many boss fights or puzzles, it brings the old 2D game into 3D splendor. The graphics are awesome and the game is always entertaining.

Psychonauts

If you want a hilarious and imaginative game, then look no further. Tim Schafer, the mind behind Grim Fandango  and Secret of Monkey Island , creates a seriously innovative game. Each level takes place inside a different character's mind, and the level is crafted to fully deliver that character's persona.

Rainbow Six 3

If you enjoy military related combat games, then this game is a must-have. The single player mode isn't the greatest, but the beauty of the game is having your friends join in and play with you in the multi-player mode. This game is intense, and the sense of camaraderie cannot be matched.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

This game is more than a Star Wars RPG. It is awesome graphics, smooth gameplay, and an overall addicting experience. Lightsabers, force powers, an amazing story, and some of the most memorable characters on Xbox make this game an Xbox classic.

Jade Empire

The follow up the Knights of the Old Republic doesn't disappoint. This RPG is based on a kung fu world and a real-time action-oriented combat system. Your character can choose different philosophical paths, making this RPG innovative and deep.

Ninja Gaiden Black

If you like ninjas and fighting games that are actually extremely challenging but worthwhile, then let me introduce you to your new favourite game. The graphics are smooth and crisp, while the gameplay is amazing. This game expands what the original Ninja Gaiden did, creating one of the best adventure fighting games of all time.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Looking for an adventure game with plenty of guns and driving? Look no further. San Andreas is the best GTA title released on Xbox. Get involved in turf wars, high speed police chases, and do "favours" for important gang and mob leaders without having any of it appear on your real-life criminal record.
